To join the Guild of Catalan Art Galleries (Gremi de Galeries d’Art de Catalunya)is become part of an organization linked to the art sector with most members within the Spanish market.
Becoming part of the Guild of Catalan Art Galleries (Gremi de Galeries d’Art de Catalunya) grants you, among others, the right to benefit from the following services:
- Defense agaisnt other insitutions and collectives.
- Defense against cases of intrusion and mal practice which the members denounce. frente a casos de intrusismo y mala praxis que los agremiados denuncien.
- Participation in the Assembly and organized debates.
- Representation of your gallery in the monthly bulletin of exposititions, with distribution in institutions, hotels, museums....
- Legal and fiscal consultancy.
- Information about subsidation for art fairs, catalogues of exhibitions, computing...
- Promotion of your gallery on the website of the Guild: www.galeriescatalunya.com.
- Participation in organized exhibitions, currently traveling in different municipalities of Catalonia.
- Participation in trips and informative seminars organized by the Guild about legal and commercial themes which affect the gallerist sector.
- Provision of an permanenet Exhibition Space within the Virtual Fair Artícul Feria Virtual Artícula.
- Free or discounted entry into different museums with a membership card:

- Espai Guinovart (50% discount)

- Profit from low-interest credit from “La Caixa” by means of a agreement we have signed.
- Export art work that is not susceptible to becoming part of the National Patrimony without the need to pass by the General Director of Patrimony, with a simple document of certification issued from our insitution
- Representation in the Council of Arts and ICIC, and other institutions.
- Possible participation in Gallery Night (Nit del Galerisme.)
These services represent a few of those from which you can benefit. Most important, however, is the oportunity to voice and vote your opinion.
A strict admission process assured the professionality of the galleries that enter into the assosciation. Thus, to become a part of the Guild of Catalan Art Galleries (Gremi de Galeries d’Art de Catalunya) is a stamp of quality to present to your clients and other insitutions.
The regulations and admission processes is the following:
- The application of admissions into the Guild of Catalan Art Galleries (Gremi de Galeries d’Art de Catalunya) ought to be directed toSr. Ferran Josa i Monegal and must comply with these following requirements:
- Written application form.
- Enclosed photocopy of the Licencia Fiscal (IAE).
- Plan of programming for the current year and the year before.
- In the application, please state:
- Name of the gallery
- Address
- Telephone and fax numbers
- Name of the director
- Telephone number of the director
- Founding date of the gallery
- Monthly and daily schedule of the gallery
- Website address
- E-mail address
- In the case of admission, please provide the following bank information: Name of the bank
- Branch
- Checking accound holder
- Checking account number (20 digits)
- City where the account is held
- Authorize the bank to pay membership fees
The decision to accept or revoke the application of a gallery will be made in the metting of the Dirrective Council, by vote of all of the members. The decision can be appealed on terms communicated to the interested party, as pertaining to each case. The presentation of incomplete documentation will truncate the admission process.
The system of membership fees is the following:
a) FEE OF INSCRIPTION: New members pay a quantity of €432 upon entering.
b) MONTHLY FEE: From the frist month and monthly thereafter, members pay a quantity of €36.
